Long Island has long been known as a hub of farm-to-table cooking, the home of amazing fresh seafood, and as a foodie destination, but that can sometimes come at a price. If you have champagne taste on a beer budget but long to try Long Island’s best restaurants, Long Island Restaurant Week is your chance to sample the region’s best cuisine at prices that are an absolute steal.
If there’s been a new spot that you’ve been eyeing, this is the perfect time to try the island’s hottest restaurants. More than 100 are participating, with each establishment offering a 3-course prix fixe menu nightly for only $29.95 (single entrees at many of the participating restaurants alone cost more.) You can tuck into a bowl of pasta while searching for a celebrity sighting at Montauk’s trendy Scarpetta, or try the best in New American dining before spending a night at The Preston House and Hotel. Italian, Greek, French, Mexican, and more are all on offer; come for the Veteran’s Day weekend and you can sample something new each evening. The menu at every participating restaurant will have a choice of three appetizers, three entrees, and three deserts, so you’re guaranteed options while you indulge.
Long Island Restaurant week runs daily from Sunday, November 3rd to Sunday, November 10th, and a full list of participating restaurants can be found online. (Generally, prix fixe menus are offered all night, but on Saturdays, some restaurants may only offer the menu until 7 pm, so make sure to check in advance.)
