The Beatles ‘69
For those of us who missed Beatlemania - or who want another go at it - don’t fret, because the Bay Street Theater has got you covered. Celebrating fifty years since the Liverpool boys’ final recordings, The Beatles ‘69 comes to Sag Harbor for one special weekend of rock and roll greatness this Winterfest, and everyone is invited to “Come Together” on March 15 and 16.
Dedicated Beatles devotees The Moondogs play pitch-perfect renditions of the Beatles’ classics, in this case from the iconic albums Let It Be and Abbey Road. You’ll hear “Here Comes the Sun”, “Octopus’ Garden”, “Get Back”, “The Long and Winding Road”, as both albums are performed in their entirety (and who knows - there might be some unreleased songs and deep cuts on the set list as well…)
Beatles ’69 shows are two nights only: March 15th and 16th. The curtain goes up at 8PM, with doors opening at 7:45. Seating is reserved, but this is a dance-friendly event and people (you included) might just end up rocking out in front of the stage, so if you want a clear view and a comfy seat, reserve in the upper rows. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door, and can be bought on the theater’s website, by phone, or by stopping by the box office.
