Picnic Pops Summer Concert Series

This summer, Wednesday is a marvelous night for a Moondance at Old Westbury Gardens.

Pack a picnic, bring your blanket/lawnchairs & enjoy music on garden’s lawn under the stars. Gates open at 6:00 pm and the concert begins at 7:00 pm. Have two left feet? There are dance lessons before the concert at 6:30pm!

This week the Picnic Pops Concert Series features Mitch Woods and his Rocket 88s. They are the torch bearers of a great American musical heritage. Taking their inspiration from the great jump n' boogie outfits and swingin' little big bands of the 40's, they breathe fresh life into the music that gave birth to rock n' roll.

Other concerts in the series include: Dr. Zsa's Powdered Zydeco Band (July 19), George Gee Swing Orchestra (July 26) and Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks (August 2.)

General admission is $12; 62+ & members is $10, and children 17 and under are free.
